Information LukesLists receives

LukesLists receives information you provide when creating an account, editing a profile, publishing a post, uploading media, creating a marketplace listing, contacting another member, reporting content, or using creator tools. This can include your email address, username, profile information, listing location at the city or general pickup-area level, and content you choose to publish.

Our servers also receive limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, referring page, requested page, timestamps, security events, and first-party analytics identifiers.

Private messages and account security

Direct-message content is encrypted when stored. Only the conversation participants can request the conversation through the normal application interface. LukesLists does not place advertising inside private messages, account settings, password pages, or administrative tools.

Passwords are stored using a one-way password hash. Authentication uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie. No system can promise absolute security, but LukesLists uses access controls, rate limits, secure cookies, security headers, moderation tools, and restricted administrative permissions to reduce risk.

Optional person verification and listing proof

Members may voluntarily submit a private liveness video for the LukesLists Person Verified program. Sellers may also be required to submit a current video and written answers when a listing is flagged for proof. These files are not public and are limited to the submitting member and authorized trust-and-safety staff.

Do not include government identification, payment cards, children, private addresses, medical records, or unrelated people. Verification confirms that a staff-reviewed person completed the requested check; it does not guarantee identity documents, ownership, listing accuracy, animal health, or transaction safety. Evidence may be retained for fraud prevention, appeals, legal obligations, and platform safety, then removed when it is no longer reasonably needed.

Google advertising

Public, content-rich LukesLists pages may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to provide, measure, limit, and personalize advertising where permitted. Advertising is clearly labeled and kept separate from navigation, private communication, and marketplace action buttons.

You can review or control Google advertising personalization through Google Ads Settings. Browser controls may also let you block or remove cookies. Blocking advertising cookies may reduce personalization but should not prevent basic LukesLists account access.

Maps, location, and public listings

Marketplace maps use OpenStreetMap data and show an approximate city or town point. Sellers should never publish a home address. Exact meeting details should be shared privately only after both parties are comfortable. New community locations may be checked against a mapping service and cached so repeated lookups are unnecessary.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to operate accounts, deliver requested features, show public content, provide chronological feeds, support marketplace communication, prevent fraud, moderate abuse, measure site performance, and improve LukesLists. LukesLists does not sell personal account information. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate hosting, email, security, analytics, maps, or advertising, subject to their respective terms.

Information may also be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person from harm, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce platform rules, or protect LukesLists and its members.

Your choices

You can update profile information and passwords from account settings. You may contact [email protected] to ask about account access or deletion. Some information may be retained when required for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backups, or fraud prevention.
